BibleHere respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. Reading without an account
You can read, search, and use the daily verse on BibleHere without creating an account. We do not require your name, email, or any personal information to read the Bible.
2. Optional account
If you choose to sign in (to save bookmarks, notes, highlights, or sync across devices), we collect:
- Your email address (from your sign-in provider).
- Your display name and profile photo (if your provider shares them).
- The bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading progress you create.
This data is stored securely in our database (Firebase / Firestore) and is used only to provide your study features. We do not sell or rent it.
3. Local storage
We store your theme, font size, accent color, and recent verses in your browser's localStorage so the app remembers your preferences. This never leaves your device.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which chapters and features are used most. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
5. AI features
When you ask the AI Bible assistant a question, your question is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not store the content of your AI conversations beyond what is necessary to display the answer to you.
6. Children
BibleHere is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
7. Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. We respond to data-deletion requests within 30 days.
